Faolyn

This is Faolyn, a little dragon creature that I've been working on for about a year. I started him the week my grandpa became ill, and it's almost been year since that so I wanted to finish it. All of him is handmade, I sewed his body and sculpted the limbs and head. Each eye is two buttons sewn onto each other for the shape of an eye, and he's painted with acrylic pain with an enamel on it. He was a first for me. I had never made a doll, so I had no pattern, and I had never actually made anything that didn't result in disaster with clay, so this was definitely an interesting project for me because I had to figure it out as I went along. He's not perfect, but I am proud of him.

I also made the pillow for him from extra cloth from my scraps and sewed in his name. Also the first time I managed to sew well enough to sew a name.

Faolyn is definitely a strange little creature, but he's mine.
